The Medieval Village and Castle, projected by an experts commission directed by Alfredo D’Andrade, has been built for the Italian General Expo of 1884 and was the pavilion dedicated to the Ancient Art Section.  All the buildings of the complex, located inside the Valentino Park on the Po bank, are copies of architectures and decorations of the XV century actually existing in Piemonte and Val d’Aosta.
